Bondex Y-90 is a soluble gummy carbohydrate made by partial hydrolysis of Starch. It is made by roasting Starch with less acid and more heat. Its special features are that it is highly convertible and very thin in solution. The concentrated solution is very stable and has good tackiness. Bondex Y-90 finds application in the Textile Industry in cloth painting, cloth finishing, rug sizing, screen printing and textile stiffening. It is used in Foundries as a core binder as it imparts great compression strength to foundry cores. It is used in the Adhesive Industry in paper tubes and cones, laminated solids fibers, bill posting envelopes, polishing dyes, sand binder, etc. Bondex Y-90 can also be used as a dry distemper and can be mixed in small quantities with chalk and pigments to act as a carrier and impart good adhesion and optic colours to the walls. |
